Christina Gurunian shares her hobbies, interests, experience, and knowledge in the world of art, fashion, and design.
Background & Education
Christina was born & raised in Beirut, Lebanon in an Armenian family.
After doing two years in college in life sciences/biology and receiving several scholarships, she had a change in major and decided to go for a degree in Business Administration & Finance. Christina is currently taking several online courses at Harvard University in programming & software engineering.
While Christina’s work experience is very rich & diverse, her real passion remains to be Art & Fashion. She currently lives in Montreal, Canada with her husband and son and tries to find the time to balance her work, motherhood, continuing education, hobbies.
Paintings & forms of expression
Christina loves to use different mediums to create something unique. Whether it’s traditional oil paint, acrylic paint, water paint, digital painting, gold gilding or simply adding a poem, a ballad, or a even 3D structure such as dough to a flat surface, she’s not afraid to experiment. “I don’t consider myself an artist, I just like to have fun with the canvas. Sometimes something cool comes out of it and sometimes it’s a disaster. Nevertheless, it’s always worth experimenting and I always work with confidence ” she says.
Christina’s inspiration sources are also very distinct and different: For instance, it could be a figure from Greek mythology, art during the renaissance period, beauty of a female body, masterpieces from the western literature, motives from the very rich Armenian culture, a Russian imperial gown, or excerpts from the magical world of Gibran Khalil Gibran …etc. The sky is the limit!
My goal here is to share my knowledge, raise awareness of some causes through my paintings and support charitable foundations that are close to my heart.
Some examples include: Juvenile Diabetes Research & Foundation, Armenia Fund, Beirut Explosion Relief Fund…etc
Thank you for your love & support.
